New York residents dying from a terminal illness lack the death with dignity option at the end of life. Modeled on the Oregon Death with Dignity Act, an aid in dying law would allow qualified, terminally ill adult residents of New York to legally obtain a prescription from their physician for medications to end their life peacefully, in a dignified way, at the place and time of their choosing. Write your State Assembly Member and Senator to urge their support for death with dignity legislation!
